Yeah I didn't pay much attention back then, and our schools painted a different picture.........or should I say left out a lot.......

did you see Guadalcanal yet? The war in the PAcifc began as an Island hopping from New Zealand and Australia to retake the Phillipines and then move on from there. MIDAY was perhaps the biggest victory and turned to course of events as we basically destroyed the Navy of the Japanese there.

The ISland fights were savage and brutal. The Japanese had nothing to lose and they would fight to the death.

So I am glad you are able to watch the history of what happened there. Good for you Nemo! Hope you enjoyed it..
