De,
What is inflation going to be the next few years?

One thing I have noticed, is that inflation seems to
be eating the value of cash . . . outpacing what
banks will pay in interest . . . bonds do not seem to
have that 'growth in income' necessary to outpace
inflation.

Am I wrong? But I believe a well diversified portfolio
of conservative minded companies that like to increase
their dividends every year will give me the most likely
future happiness.

I've mentioned Dominion Resources - also known as Dominion
Energy. Ticker = D . The current dividend yield is 4.4%.
They pay out four times a year. And they have a direct stock
purchase plan.

The transfer agent is called 'Broadridge'.
One can download the prospectus (which details the plan) and the
application form at the link above.

Zim.

I appreciate your posting. Now that I'm retired, I'm more conservative with my investments. If the stock market pulls back a bit - a *lot*, actually - I may buy some of your stocks. Of late, I've been buying CDs. 2.8 to 3%. No risk.
