I recently purchased C Cleaner to keep things running smooth and it deletes everything when I close my browser. Amazing how much stuff is downloaded to ones computer....

First, a little background:

When you view a web page, your browser retrieves copies of the page's pictures and stores them for a period on your computer. The storage area is called "cache" and may periodically clear itself. When you view the web page again, your computer responds faster by displaying the pictures in your cache instead of getting them a second time via the internet. This takes workload off of the site you're visiting too since other people - sometimes tons of other people - may be simultaneously hitting it.

So, micro: I think the problem is that your browser's cache needs to be cleared. Until then, Opera will continue showing you a cached image. If you wait a while (which could be days, weeks or months), it could clear itself depending on Opera's settings.

To force Opera to clear its cache right now:

1) Start Opera and maximize its size on your screen.

2) Click the red "O" in the uppermost left corner of the screen.

3) Click "Settings"

4) Click "Advanced"

5) Click "Privacy & Security"

6) The window that comes up will be a big one. You may have to scroll up or down to get to its "Privacy and Security" section. Within it, click on "Clear browsing data"

The window that pops up will look like what I've displayed at the bottom of this post.

7) The only box that must be checked is "Cached images and files." Set the Time Range to far enough back to ensure that the cached picture will be included. "All time" will clear all the cached images and will definitely correct your problem (if it's cache-related). When you click the "Clear data" button, your browser's cached images will be cleared and Opera will have to seek current copies from the internet the next time you visit the affected pages.

Here's the requisite disclaimer: Once you clear cached images, you can't get them back. But, on the other hand, I've never had a case where I wanted them back. Clearing a large cache will free up hard disk space and may even help your system operate more efficiently. There are also security benefits in the event your system is ever hit by those evil "Russian hackers."
