De: Re: Moissanite

Funny you would mention that particular stone.
My wofe bought a drop dead gorgeous ring made of Moissanite that had over 2 carats of the stone.

It is the closest thing to a diamond and yet more hard. The ring she bought was not cheap either. On sale at half off it was still over $1500. She used some money from an inheritance she received from her mother to remember her by.

Moissanite is a great looking gem. Even if Nemo's find turned out to be that, it would be worth something.

Just a little info on Moissanite jewelry. You can find Moisanite jewelry for sale online easily. It is not cheap.. It is clear and brilliant. Looks just like a diamond only it is harder.

Just a little added info..

Re: "Is it real??? LOL"
You'll have to get a jeweler to test the stone's thermal and electrical conductivity. Virtually every other test can yield false positives. Even thermal conductivity is unreliable since a stone called moissanite will register as being diamond.

Don't get your hopes up.
