Mediaite founding editor Colby Hall on former DNC chair Donna Brazile becoming a Fox News contributor:
"Fox News made something of a splash in the news opinion media world today with the hiring of Donna Brazile.
Brazile is familiar to Fox News prime time viewers as she is oft-cited as an example of the unfair treatment that CNN provides Democratic candidates. Brazile had been a long-time contributor ***** at CNN but was let go by the network when it was revealed that she had shared debate questions with then-candidate Hillary Clinton. ***** (unforgivable, imo)
CNN dismissed her what they rightfully saw as a breach of media ethics, but Fox News apparently doesn’t see it that way or at least is willing to show forgiveness. Brazile has owned up to the error and is still considered, in the world of political media, a well-respected, likable personality to individuals of either side of the political spectrum.
Brazile’s past indiscretions aside, her addition to the Fox News stable of commentators should be welcomed by all. She is a very smart and fearless contributor and will likely only make Fox News opinion programming more interesting as a result. There is the question, however, of whether or not Sean Hannity will continue to ding Brazile now that they're on the same payroll."
