New Zealand shooter plans to represent himself, fires attorney

Brenton Tarrant the Australian man who killed 50 people at two mosques in New Zealand last week has fired his attorney and has instead chosen to represent himself in court instead.
The Washington Post reports that the 28-year-old might try to use his trial as a platform to share his extremist views.
Tarrant has been charged with one count of murder in the terror attacks, which became New Zealand’s deadliest mass shooting in modern history. He is expected to face more charges at his next court appearance on April 5.
His former attorney Richard Peters said that his former client appeared “lucid” and “not mentally unstable.”
Brenton Tarrant described laid out his plans before the horrific attack in a manifesto that was posted online as well as emailed to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden’s office just minutes before the attack.
Tarrant grew up in New South Wales, Australia and worked as a personal trainer. the same year of his father’s death in 2010, he quit his job, invested in cryptocurrency and began traveling the world using his inheritance and money from his bitcoin investments.
Marie Fitzgerald, who is Tarrant’s grandmother said the death of his father took a toll on him. After his world travels, she said, he returned home a changed man. (Ah. Then liberals will want to give him a light sentence. -De )
