I wouldn't read too much into this. One in three Americans own guns, but just one in twelve California ADULTS does.

It's easy to forget, but 12.5 percent of Californians are registered Republicans. I'd wager that they are the state's gun buyers. When 'The People' finally rise up, it's going to be a bloodbath in favor of the Conservatives. The only question is, what happens THEN? Do all the remaining liberals get kicked out of the country? Imprisoned? (We don't have that many prisons.) It's impossible to say and it probably boils down to the level of anger in the country at the time.
