The concern, Nemo, is that you may live another 25 years. Yeah, I know. That'd be terrible. The thought keeps me up nights! LOL. But year-by-year, you can be sure that the cost of living will mount. If you use homes as a bellweather, I can tell you that 25 years ago my home was valued at about one third what it is today. Moreover, being newer, it was in far better condition. That means that if inflation is no worse than it has been in the last 25 years, you can still expect see prices to triple from this point. If inflation DOES get worse, there's no upper boundary.

Do you have a plan? Mine, of course, is to attain true independence. I won't do it, but that's my goal. If I'm lucky, when things get really messy maybe I'll have a roof over my head and many years worth of freeze-dried food on my shelves. I probably can't do much more than that.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
