she must have been in AP classes all through high school

She took 8 or 9 AP classes in high school. They are graded on a scale of 1-5. She got a 4 in an economics class, but she got 5s in all the rest, including Physics, Chemistry and Calculus! She really is amazing.

She was never competing with these kids for admission to Ivy League schools because she has always believed these schools had lost their credibility long ago.

She can come here for her graduation trip

I appreciate the offer but I think she wants a cruise and LV, like Phoenix, is hard to get to by cruise ship. Very Happy

What makes HER (Lori) and her kid(s) more important than your daughter?

If you can't get into an elite undergraduate school, then accept it. If it's that easy to get accepted, then your child will be in a competitive situation for 4 years, and the kid won't be able to keep up.
