you might be surprised how many of us "northerners" agree with you about States Rights, but those should not incluide the right to making slaves of people.

I think that is more of a national forum. But our founders agree with you about sovereignty of States and their Rights.

I wish we could get back to where the States regained their indivuality and independence fromt eh teat of federal government and brought back to themselves most of the responsibilities we have delegated out to an ever growing monster called the Federal Government.

Ditto here, too, nacl. Presbyterian Scotch-Irish great-great-grandfathers from Pennsylvania (from my Dad's side and my Mom's side) who fought in many battles with the Union Army in the Civil War. However, being the Southerner that I am ... while I agree with their contempt for slavery ... we might have been at odds with regard to states rights.
