The weather cleared and Virgin Galactic has sent its SpaceShipTwo on another test mission back into space, with a test passenger on board for the first time.
The company founded by Richard Branson tweeted the minute-by-minute progression of the fifth supersonic flight of the space plane VSS Unity that took off this morning from the Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California.

Weather delayed an attempt from Wednesday. Today’s two pilots are David McKay and Mike “Sooch” Masucci, Also on board is a third crew member, the first test passenger, Beth Moses, who is the chief astronaut instructor for the company.
“She will provide human validation for the data we collect,” the company said in a tweet. “Including aspects of the customer cabin and spaceflight environment from the perspective of people in the back.”
Moses did unstrap and experience weightlessness. It was the first time a person had done that in a commercial space vehicle.
