I'm not sure how I'd get through some of the horizontal studs in the new wall, but there'd presumably be a way....

...if there is I don't know about it and I installed phones in everything from grandiose churches to outhouses. I hate it when folks wanted me to run the wiring under the floor in an outhouse.

I suppose it'd be a small job if I knew the wiring, but I don't. I assume it runs from the thermostat straight down to the utility room and connects there to . . . something.

I actually have the plumber who worked on the house coming out in a week or two to fix a leak. If he did the heating... and he might have... he may be able to show me where the wiring goes. At that point, it would be easier. I'd route the wire up into a different wall. I'm not sure how I'd get through some of the horizontal studs in the new wall, but there'd presumably be a way....
