Ocasio-Cortez: Democrat darling’s Green New Deal is not so hot

WASHINGTON. Current Democrat Darling Alexandria Ocasio-Ortez (AOC) won her House seat last November with 16,898 votes. Which totaled 78.2% of the overall votes cast in her district. Putting this vote in perspective, when her district totals are compared to the tally of more than 325.7 million people living in the United States (2017 census estimate), her support is a microscopic percentage: about .00005144 percent.
Which may be a lower percentage than Elizabeth Warren’s Native American ancestry.
Every vote counts. Assuming every vote is cast
But it gets worse. When AOC won the Democratic primary election in her district, “80 percent of eligible voters stayed home,” according to the New York Post. The Post drilled down further on those numbers.
“In the race that caused an earthquake in the Democratic Party, 28-year-old newcomer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upset longtime Rep. Joe Crowley, 57 percent to 42 percent.
“But only about 13 percent of registered Democrats turned out to vote in the 14th Congressional District that takes in parts of Queens and the Bronx, according to a preliminary city Board of Elections tally.
“There are 214,750 active registered Democratic voters in the district. Only 27,744 voted, and Ocasio-Cortez won by more than 4,000 votes.”
A lucky candidate, an unlucky nation
But despite her incredible luck in winning her primary and ultimately her House seat — very likely due to persistently low mid-term voter turnouts — this 29 year-old darling of the Democrats views her election as a national mandate for radical change. She claims she is now the moral voice of all Americans, recently declaring she is “the Boss.” Aren’t the American people the Boss in a representative government?
This arrogant and invincibly stupid Bronx millennial — whose brief life highlights include working as a bartender and dancer with no personal economic or business success on her thin resumé — brings fresh, new lunacy to a Democrat party that already boasts a substantial bench of dunces.
And her election also jeopardizes the lives and well-being of the 325 plus million people that did not vote for or support her.
Yet this democrat is taking the news cycle by storm and deciding how you and I should live.
The Green New Deal of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is nothing but an amalgam of unicorn dreams and fairy dust. Yet it continues to dominate the MSM news cycle.
Ocasio-Cortez and her equally looney upper chamber partner Senator Ed Markey have already offered a Joint Resolution for a Green New Deal that would become a major driver of America’s already burdensom and misguided environmental policy.
Unfortunately, there are those who persist in giving air to the Green New Deal. Here’s a list of them:
Spot the loonies
The Green New Deal idea is lofty, typical of the failed-in-advance utopian ideas regularly promoted by socialists and Marxists. Ideas like transforming the entire national economy from fossil fuels to wind and sun power in a New York minute. Phasing out fossil fuel industries and with them things like affordable cars, airplanes, heat and air conditioning. And doing this almost overnight.
What about the resulting massive job losses in the energy and transportation businesses? Not a problem. The Green New Deal will instantly create millions of high-paying new jobs while saving the planet from the ravages of global warming climate change.
Other AOC demands would have us abolish ICE and abandon border security altogether. AOC stomps her dancing feet and, voilà! Another astounding revelation. She declares that you have too much money and you should just give it away. This despite her new lifestyle, luxurious lifestyle in Washington, D.C. Or for that matter, the lifestyle of her private jet, three mansion mentor and fellow traveler, Bernie Sanders. And the rest of her wealthy new “Socialist” friends.
It’s amazing more people can’t see they are being played by those who would destroy America. But the voting numbers say otherwise.
The Smug Hypocrites of the left are getting younger
AOC tells her audience of 2.5 million on Instagram that they need to consider not having children because, hey, the world will end in 12 years due to global warming climate change. Think of that. By 2030, it’s over. So she has said, so it will be. Perhaps we should commit mass suicide. Right now.
All this hysteria hearkens back to the early days of Al Gore. After G.W. Bush defeated his Florida, hanging chad recount charade to become President. The outraged Gore, even with considerably more years under his belt, mounted his global warming climate change crusade, claiming we would all be dead by 2016. An “inconvenient truth,” for sure. Except that the Goracle’s dire prediction never came close to being true.
Following in Gore’s dubious footsteps, Democrat Darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez now prowls about, scaring little children with her climate bafflegab and with her urgent demand that we stop subjecting new life to the horrific world we have created. If indeed, we want new human life to exist at all. In the video below she claims the following.
Our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around and so it’s basically like, there’s a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” Ocasio-Cortez says as she makes dinner in her luxury kitchen. “And it does lead, I think, young people to have a legitimate question, you know, ‘Is it okay to still have children?’”
But Houston, there’s a problem. Without fresh, innocent, dewy-eyed little darlings ready to be indoctrinated into the Socialist Climate Change Cult, how are you going to create a new cabal of Democrat darlings to promote this nonsense until all opposition caves? In this video, note the AOC mini-me in the front earnestly repeating utopian talking points she knows nothing about.
Sunrise, Sunset….
What media is not reporting is that the above group, indoctrinated by AOC and other hard left Pied Pipers, was proudly indoctrinated by the Sunrise Movement. That’s a group of environmental zealots funded, unsurprisingly, by the Rockefeller Foundations and other once respectable nonprofits hijacked by Marxists to do their bidding. The Sunrise Movement’s thoroughly indoctrinated fanatics routinely make demands without offering reasonable solutions.
Over the last week, fresh-faced young environmental warriors from the Sunrise Movement began popping up in Senators’ and Representatives’ offices to make their demands.

A Socialist Children’s Crusade
What a concept. An army of young people, a Children’s Crusade marched off to harass politicians where they work. In keeping with fine agitprop traditions, they show up unannounced, with their demands written in childish scrawls sure to appeal to CNN cameras.
It might make more sense to have these kids take civics and economics classes so that can better understand how the American republic actually works. (Or worked.) Then they might realize the the notion of just “printing more money” to solve imaginary problems, as AOC suggests, is the first step toward socialism. Which naturally leads to bread lines and out-of-control inflation.
Just a glimpse of real life in the workers’ paradise of Venezuela would reveal what the Sunrise Movement and AOC are actually promoting when they barge into Senator Feinstein’s, or Senator McConnell’s offices. But these kids don’t know anything about that. Their re-educators regard such things as inconvenient truths, unsuitable for the impressionable (and easily re-trainable) young.

Truth: America has made great strides to improve our environment
Rest assured, AOC’s minions and mini-me’s have not been informed about the impressive gains America has made in moving toward clean energy sources, mostly avoiding the disruption of existing businesses. From the Environmental Progress Website:
• Nuclear comprised 20.0 percent of U.S. electricity in 2017, which is slightly below its historical peak share of 20.1 percent in 2001, but up from 19.0 percent in 2012.
• The share of U.S. electricity coming from clean energy sources rose from 26.6 percent in 2008 to a peak of 36.2 percent in 2017.
• An 8.3 percent share of U.S. electricity came from solar and wind in 2017, which constitutes 22.8 percent of total electricity from clean energy sources.
• Wind and solar receive, respectively, 17 and 140 times more in federal subsidies than nuclear.
• Thirty states have mandates to deploy clean energy that exclude nuclear.
Environmental Progress warns that by not investing in safe, clean nuclear energy, we are at risk of an energy crisis. That’s important because wind energy is not going to power modern society anytime soon. Nor can frequently unreliable wind and solar installations address peak power needs as the demand occurs.
Environmental warriors are the key to enforcing socialist goals
Those still in possession of the ability to reason must understand that mind-numbed, indoctrinated environmental warriors are dangerous to our society and our way of life. According to Bloomberg reporting, AOC’s utopian Green New Deal fantasy will cost up to $91 trillion over ten years. And all that time, its implementation will destroy America’s energy independence and make it impossible for the average American to survive.
“The so-called Green New Deal may tally between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10-years, concludes American Action Forum, which is run by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who directed the non-partisan CBO from 2003 to 2005.
That includes between $8.3 trillion and $12.3 trillion to meet the plan’s call to eliminate carbon emissions from the power and transportation sectors and between $42.8 trillion and $80.6 trillion for its economic agenda including providing jobs and health care for all.
“The Green New Deal is clearly very expensive,” the group said in its analysis. “It’s further expansion of the federal government’s role in some of the most basic decisions of daily life, however, would likely have a more lasting and damaging impact than its enormous price tag.”
The Green New Deal is simply not practical or sustainable. It is, in fact, a Very Bad Green Deal.
What the News Cycles ignore
In the left-wing article What Is the Clean Power Plan? we read the following.
Power plants are the largest source of pollution in the country that’s driving dangerous climate change. We are already seeing the impacts of climate change in extreme weather, droughts, wildfires, floods, and other disruptions around the world. Limiting carbon pollution from the nation’s power plants is the single-biggest step we can take to fight climate chaos.”
Obama’s original 2015 stab at a version of the New Green Deal, the Clean Power Plan, proposed to give power over America’s energy resources to the Federal Government. But President Trump has reversed this government power grab, revising or eliminating hostile EPA rules while returning energy issues to individual states. And to the people.
New rules for the EPA
Ocasio-Cortez and the Sunrise Movement seems to be ignoring the achievements that have been made.

EPA takes its Clean Air Act responsibilities seriously and is committed to providing certainty to state and industry partners. We will not use our authority to pick winners and losers in the energy marketplace. Rather, our proposal would permit states to make energy decisions based on what works best for them rather than what the federal government tells them to do. The era of top-down, one-size-fits-all federal mandates is over.
“Our rule also would ensure that America remains the gold standard for energy production and environmental protection. From 2005 to 2017, U.S. energy-related CO2 emissions fell by 14 percent, according to the Energy Information Administration, while global emissions increased over 20 percent.
“Additionally, since 1970, total emissions of the six criteria air pollutants (carbon monoxide, lead, ground-level ozone, nitrogen dioxide, particulate matter, and sulfur dioxide) established under the Clean Air Act have dropped 73 percent, while the economy grew over 260 percent.
“The bottom line is that the United States is achieving energy dominance while reducing energy-related carbon emissions and improving air quality and public health. No other nation in the world can claim likewise.”
Save Our Seas Act
Other actions by President Trump, that Ocasio-Cortez and the Sunrise Movement have conveniently failed to mention is that on October 11, 2018 the President signed The Save Our Seas Act, putting funding in place for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Marine Debris Program.
“This waste, trash, and debris harms not only marine life, but also fishermen, coastal economies along America’s vast stretches,” President Trump said. “The bad news is it floats toward us. I’ve seen pictures recently, and some of you have seen them, where there’s a vast, tremendous, unthinkable amount of garbage is floating right into our coast, in particular along the West Coast.”
The Save Our Seas Act is a serious attempt to address this serious environmental problem as well.
If we weren’t currently witnessing the utter devastation of a once-prosperous Venezuala, as it de-evolves from a vibrant economy into socialist poverty and utter human desperation and despair, many of us would be less concerned by by the antics of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Marxist agitprop Sunrise Movement and related attempts to undermine and discredit our freedom under the largely fake banner of environmentalism.
The time is now to fight back, with verifiable facts and figures against the New Green Deal and the Sunrise Movements. And it’s also time for parents to make sure their children aren’t being indoctrinated into these phony utopian religions without their concurrence.
Otherwise, our social, governmental and ecological futures will prove bleak indeed. Just not in the way the Socialists and their minions predict. Just look to Venezuela, and you’ll understand the rest.
