Very interesting. Does the little town shown below look familiar? I bet not, but it's what Cambria looked like when I lived there a long time ago. On the left, you can see the Cambria Pines Lodge - which still exists today, but I think it's been completely overhauled.

I attended kindergarten and part of first grade in Cambria, though we left mid-year for New York while I was still in the 1st grade. My sister was valedictorian at Coast Union... which I bet even today is the town's only high school.

I paid $1.94/gallon in Charlottesville.

I paid $3.999/gal in Cambria, California. The lowest we paid in CA was $3.239. Just shows what taxation and regulation can do.
