Quite agreed.

Secondarily, another truism to consider BEFORE sayiong "I do". IF there is something about that person you are about to marry that just annoys, is part of them, their personality, and You think "it's the only thing I don't just adore about this person but I can change that after the wedding", that will never happen..

Too many younguns think they can change or alter the real personality of somebody if they go ahead and marry only to find out that it isn;t able to happen and so it doesn't.

As you noted aptly, yep, if there is a conflict like you stated, it's time to part company... If the other person does not like your principles, which is your vey core, then they really do not like you either....

A very good point sir!!! Thumbs Up

When one has one partner, who has principles . . .
And the other partner who is bent on destroying
those principles . . .

Divorce is preferable.

I'm speaking from personal experience. I have not
seen the movie you referenced.
