I'm sorry I could not find it in English, but it is the cause of their divorce that each one thinks the other is wrong.

...it's also that people are unwilling to listen to the other side and unwilling to compromise. Sometimes they have compromised all they can and neither will budge another inch.

I could not find the scene I was looking for, IN ENGLISH, but if you ever saw the movie, "The Way We Were," then you would remember the scene where Barbraaaaaaaaaaaaa and Robert Redford are having an argument over the First Amendment.

He is pointing out to her that we don't have free speech - as they are discussing Hollyweird and movie-making. SHE is saying, "People ARE their principles."

I'm sorry I could not find it in English, but it is the cause of their divorce that each one thinks the other is wrong.

It remains a fact that PEOPLE ARE THEIR PRINCIPLES.
Trust me, I hate agreeing with Barbraaaaaa.

I watched that stupid movie quite a bit. I have it on tape and STILL watch it when it appears on t.v.

I used to say to the honey, "they could have still been together," if only they had been willing to meet in the middle.

(a major head shake)

....but do you give up your principles if it saves your marriage, your family, your job AND so forth.

A question for the ages.

It's easy to say, "I'M GOING TO STAND BY MY PRINCIPLES NO MATTER WHAT (!!!), BUT ULTIMATELY IS IT THAT IMPORTANT TO RUIN YOUR LIFE OVER?"

Another question for the ages.
