we should take a few days away from February and July (arguably the hottest and coldest months of the year) and give them to April and September

I like this idea, but,in keeping with Arizona having its own time zone, I would like to make June, July and August each about four days long and put the rest in November an March when our heating/cooling systems usually get the months off.

...is has long been my theory that daylight savings time is the result of small thinking. Instead of changing the hours aroune we should take a few days away from February and July (arguably the hottest and coldest months of the year) and give them to April and September which are spring and fall which are much more in accord with the likes and dislikes of more Americans.
