Good morning De!
Nope. He is a sophomore. He works really hard training. At school at 5:30 a.m. every day working out and getting in better and better shape.
I saw him pick some 185 pound kid up off the floor and slam him back down. This is his first year wrestling and he is a handful. He has wrestled in several varsity level meets against seniors and while he has been beaten seveal times, he also has won a few against boys who have been doing this for four years..
So he is learning Moves and gaining experience. It was good to see him actually win this wweight class at the meet yesterday.
He's a very good football player and wrestling wil help make him better. Still growing also. He finally is taller than me which ain;t saying much, but he is 5 ft. 11 and 183 pounds of solid muscle.. Fast too.
That is why he was the starting strong safety as a sophomore at a very BIG School and they are thinking about moving him to outside linebacker next season.
Academically he is very sound. Having two teachers for parents helps. Quiet is the word that describes him. He is not a talker. He is calm and quiet. When I am helping him with something he is paying attention.
An extrememly polite young, athlete/scholar who oplays thre sports at a high level..
His sister who is one grade behind, is the third ranked catcher in the state elite softball players..
Hopefully athletic scholarships are available for her also... She has a rocket for a throwing arm and she can pound a softball with the bat. Great combination...
I was a catcher throughout high school at a very large high school as well. I enjoy watching her play.
two very talented youngsters who as grandparents we enjoy watching them and supporting them very much..
Thanks De!
