nobody wants to move to New Hampshire in the winter.

...didn't that set off alarm bells inside your noggin? This summer when I am out walking around in my yard killing snakes with my ho I will still be happier in the south.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Re: " De is having fun and I hope he continues to do so! That is what he should do as he retired.... One day I'll do that as well but not for awhile yet.... "
I hope you retire when you're still young and healthy enough to enjoy it. I do understand, though, that you really enjoy what you do for a living. I've been there. I *really* enjoyed the work I did in California. When I moved to Virginia though, I no longer did any system administration, networking or programming, instead going after higher pay and work that was droll and garnered little respect from others (cyber security. Everybody hates security people. They're like auditors.) By the time I could retire, I was VERY happy to do so. I know I posted here years ahead of time when I'd be leaving. It was at the first opportunity... give or take about four months because nobody wants to move to New Hampshire in the winter.

If I'd stayed in California, I might not be retired today. Programming is enjoyable. But, guess what? Now I can get back to programming... and for my own benefit, not someone else's. It's the best of all worlds.

So, you enjoy your job. I'm not surprised that you haven't retired. But try not to work yourself to death, okay? There *IS* life after work. Or, at least, there ought to be.
