Ocasio-Cortez hits back after Trump says her Green New Deal looks like high school paper

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took exception to President Donald Trump's condescending criticism of Democratic lawmakers' proposed "Green New Deal" at his rally in El Paso, Texas, on Monday.

"Sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark," Trump said of the ambitious environmental initiative.

"Ah yes, a man who can’t even read briefings written in full sentences is providing literary criticism of a House Resolution," the freshman congresswoman tweeted in response to the president's insult. She added a purported quote from a Washington Post report about the president's aversion to reading his daily intelligence briefing.

Trump assailed the progressive policy proposal as a "massive government takeover" that would "destroy our incredible economic gains." He said it would "shut down American energy" and a "little thing called air travel."

The Bronx Valley Girl releases her stupendously idiotic "New Green Deal" and it gets rightly HAMMERED for being ridiculously STUPID and UNTENABLE. So, what does this moronic lil' girl do? Why, she turns to her friends in the Democrat Propaganda Department - the FAKE NEWS, lamestream media - to give her a helping hand. Next thing you know, The WaPo is now saying, "Don't worry folks. Alexandria really isn't THAT stupid. Her poor, benighted staff inadvertently released the wrong version of her plan. All the ludicrous things in there that everyone is having a good, strong belly laugh over weren't really supposed to be in there. So, you all need to give her a do-over."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is pushing for a debate on the substance of her Green New Deal resolution after her staff distributed an erroneous fact sheet regarding the proposal, leading to confusion over a plan supported by many of the Democratic Party's leading candidates for president.

Ocasio-Cortez's staff posted online and sent to reporters a list of "frequently asked questions" about the Green New Deal. Those pages included language and policies not included in the resolution itself such as providing economic security to those "unwilling to work" and ruling out nuclear power as part of the solution to the climate crisis. ...
