I'm retired; there's rarely anything that's so important that it can't wait one more day.

...now that is the result of small thinking there. There is really nothing that cannot be put off an entire month or two. Set your goals higher!

LOL. I learned that lesson already. When you clear your driveway, clear it almost to the street, but leave the last two feet or so - which is probably what the plows have piled up - in place. It forms a wall, and later plows will not make it any worse. If you remove the wall, plows will just build it right up again.

I guess you can't do that if you actually need to use the driveway. I'm retired; there's rarely anything that's so important that it can't wait one more day. When the storm is over and the plowing is done, I remove the wall with a snow shovel. It doesn't take long.
