....yes, I turned off the circuit breaker. Got one of them flashlight hickey's that strap on ya head. Makes working on stuff like that in the dark a lot eassier. Mz ribit helped a lot. She fetches tools good.

I have been in the basement rewiring the basement lights.
I hope you threw the breaker before you started. My brother-in-law took down a ceiling fan today. Then I come over to help put up a light and caused quite a spark (to ground, not to me). At least then we knew the breaker was OFF.
