Today, we received an e-mail from the condo association in Virginia saying that our outdoor utility closet had a water leak. I was pretty stressed about that thinking that a water pipe had burst and that I was going to have to do an emergency drive to Charlottesville. That's not trivial... it's about 11 hours each way! The association manager was good enough to bring in a plumber himself, though, and the plumber was able to shut off the water. It's not a burst pipe but an old water heater. So that means I don't have to chase down there right now, but I'll probably do so within a couple of weeks.

This is my roundabout way of saying that I can relate to cold being a hassle. When I thought my pipes had burst I was stressed... and don't like stress. Now I'm just concerned that I might have to be in the condo for several days without any hot water. Not enjoyable but much better than dealing with broken pipes.

Thanks for your rendition of Nemos thoughts on this F***KING snow, A few days are fine , but weeks suck. The damn trees right now are dropping their load, and it is a lot of heavy snow all at once. My costco garages can not handle the load, so I am out there every time I hear a load fall..................................I'm tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
