For 40 years we have tried to let the private sector take care of this.
From what I have read, her Green New Deal sounds like she wants us to go back to around 1750 when all our energy needs were met with wind and whale oil (a renewable resourse). My biggest problem with this idea is that the earth only supported less than 800 million people at that time. So, that would mean that some 90% of the world population would starve or otherwise have to be eliminated to make this wonderful plan work.

Barak obama had a golden opportunity to dramatically reduce America's
carbon emissions - and possibly improve our energy production. All
he had to do was open Yucca Mountain and provide some low interest
moneys to build new nuclear power plants. Non-carbon emitting nuclear
power plants. Instead, the clown tried to make 'green energy' work -
and proved that it can't. That needs to be remembered.
