...why is it that it's an "Alleged Assault" when it's somebody on Trumps team on the receiving end and a hate crime when it's a made up assault by Jussie Smollett.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
