Sounds like "I" should have built your house DE, What you mentioned is not right , for a builder in your area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have built a couple homes here for clients, 2 story I would open a door downstairs and the upper level door would close. Thats a tight house.............. One for a green school teacher. Had to make everything green, no toxins. That was a lot of work.........


Kinda like these.................. You stood the panels and put a window or door where ever you wanted. I can go into detail if you like...........

We haven't had a really bad snowstorm this year and I'm starting to think we'll get through the winter without one. I *have* found that I dislike wind more than snow. When the wind is blowing, not only does the house shudder and creak in ways I don't like, but the place also gets cold. The wind has a way of getting through the windows, through the power outlets, and even, I think, up the floorboars. When the temperature is down to 0° and the wind picks up, the wood stove can't keep up and I have to switch to the oil heater. When it's that temperature without wind, the wood stove alone can easily make the place too hot. Wind makes a big difference.
