WASHINGTON (CBS) - Sen. Elizabeth Warren, of Massachusetts, apologized on camera Wednesday following a new report about her claims of Native American heritage.

The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Warren listed her race as "American Indian" on a State Bar of Texas registration card in 1986.

Warren told reporters "I am not a tribal citizen" and recounted a conversation with Cherokee National Principal Chief Bill John Baker. ...

Ah, Fauxcahontas ... there can be only ONE apology that is acceptable ... anything else is completely meaningless ...

"I, Elizabeth 'Fauxcahontas' Warren, do hereby abjectly grovel at the feet of the American people for being an inveterate and shameless LIAR for several decades, now. I falsely claimed, in a premeditated manner, that I was an American Indian in order to undeservedly receive affirmative action goodies and to deceive the public, when, in fact, I am actually a scrawny, pasty-white, honkie-assed cracker. Because I am such a contemptible, lying ho bag, I am resigning my U.S. Senate seat, effective immediately, and am recommending that Alex Jones be appointed to take my place."
