Re: "I just leave the water running a lil inside and it doesn't freeze....."I do the same thing here any time the temperature is going to be 10° or lower. I don't know if I need to do that - the house was built by people knowledgeable of the New Hampshire weather, after all - but I don't want to find out the hard way that I was too confident. Burst pipes in the dead of winter are a serious thing in places where the ground itself is like rock.
