Yep ... 3 miles per hour top speed. The exhaust pipe would glow red hot and raise the temperature inside the tank to a toasty 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Also put off a lot of carbon monoxide inside the tank, as well. I don't know ... after a while of riding in one of those beasts, the early tank crews may have found accurate enemy artillery shells preferable, eh?

That is likely why these were literally described a rolling coffins...... They could not get out of their own way much less enemy artillery shells..
