If we add the $122 trillion of unfunded liabilities to the $21 trillion of official federal debt, it comes to $143 trillion. Divide that by the U.S. population of 325,700,000 and we see that every citizen, regardless of age, owes $439,054.34. More than $1.3 million per household. And *I* believe the unfunded liabilities are significantly higher than your article states.

Liberals actually think that this isn't a problem. On another forum, I gave up after being outnumbered by a group who insisted that all the government would have to do is to keep rolling over the debt in perpetuity, while also growing the debt to pay for other things. "No problem!" they said. LOL. If only that were true. If it were, then why not just quadruple the debt and make everyone in the country rich overnight? Nope. Even liberals know that that wouldn't work.

I still remember clo's brilliant response. "I just think someone smart will come up with a way to fix it." Heh. People who are smart know that this thing CANNOT be fixed and can end only in disaster.
