Comedian Seth Meyers has come under fire for a tweet posted on the 'Late Night' Twitter account appeared to mock victims murdered by illegal immigrants.
The tweet was in response to President Donald Trump's speech about border security on Tuesday night, during which he mentioned several cases in which American citizens were allegedly killed by people who had entered the country illegally.

The 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' account, which is most likely not run by the host, wrote: 'Is this Oval Office: SVU?'
The tweet received thousands of responses, most of them calling out the account for being insensitive by comparing the address to the crime show 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit'.

One Twitter user wrote: 'Why don't you ask the families of those raped and murdered? I doubt they will find your joke funny though, may not want to crack anymore with them around.'

Megyn Kelly, a former NBC colleague of Meyers', replied to the tweet saying: 'I'm sure that's hysterical to the families of the murder victims the president just discussed.'
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld wrote: 'just wondering if there was anything less funny than seth meyers - turns out, it's his twitter feed.'
