I'm not surprised. One of my browsers, AVG Secure, also has built-in ad blocking. When I compare its ad blocker to uBlock Origin... guess what? Nearly identical.

uBlock Origin is open source. I think AVG just picked up a copy and incorporated it into AVG Secure Browser (which is also open source.) You might have uBlock Origin already and not know it.
