Re: "I like diversification. "
I understand. Once upon a time, I was that way as well. At some point, I started to worry about systemic price inflation and concluded that attaining 3% returns on a stock during years with greater than 3% price inflation is not acceptable. Moreover, I learned that the unstated purpose of the Federal Reserve is to maximize inflation while minimizing inflation expectations. In other words, their goal is to print money at the fastest rate that they can without causing a panic. 3+% annual money supply inflation was more likely than not, especially over the long run. Or so I thought then. And now I see:

I was fortunate enough to have a plan for my life at a young age and smart enough to know that the stock market was a means to that end - but ONLY if I could use it to outperform inflation by a wide margin.

So we went into the market with different goals and totally different approaches. I'm glad they worked out so well for us both.

Well, I'm glad you saw it and happy that you made a lot of money with it.
Congratulations.

But I would not have slept well doing what you did.

I like diversification. I currently own shares in some 17 different companies
and two managed municipal bond funds. Not to mention the 401K - which is all
mutual funds. Yes, there are a couple of things I own that I am not real
enthused about - but none of them are so 'doggish' that I feel I should unload.

And I sleep very well.

True, I won't hit one out of the park like you did with Celgene . . .
But i can live with what I'm doing.

Zim.
