lol............I grew the purples out on orcas island in sheep compost. Man the lil red worms in that stuff, 1000's of them. Great dirt to grow in.........

I cant grow chit here, No friggin sun where Im at. Lot of trees.I get filtered sun........

You should have continued. The trickiest part of the whole thing, so far as I can tell, is preserving some for the next season so that the seed potatoes aren't an ongoing expense. I may have it easier than you. Once I have my shed built, they'll stay nice and cold out there from November to April. Hmmm. Maybe that won't work. I don't know if they can handle sub-freezing temps. It'll be funny if I have to buy a used refrigerator for the shed in order to keep the spuds WARM. Update: Seed potatoes will be damaged if they freeze. Some will still sprout according to the internet, but I don't want to deal with that.
