Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

Over on DebatePolitics, yesterday I got into a Climate Change debate that was dominated - in numbers - by Climate Alarmists. Today, one of the forum's liberal regulars just said that he's dropping out because it's no any fun anymore explaining things to idiots like me. All I really did was to say that I had questions and keep pressing the point that they claim to know the answers but aren't presenting any of them.

Most recently, one of them posted five climate models that have seemingly been incredibly accurate (see below). I then posted a chart of the predictions from NINETY models (see further below) being used and observed that it's not hard to pick the five best and create the first chart AFTER THE FACT, but that they likely won't work in the future. Picking the five good ones out of ninety doesn't mean that climate modeling works. Heh. That seemed to fluster them.

It's always satisfying to take know-it-alls down a peg.

BTW, note that both their chart and mine include the HADCRUT4 model... but that it appears dramatically more accurate in their chart than in mine. Go figure...
