yep, unfortunately, I know what's going on. I just can't move to NH, shoot a groundhog and eat it for dinner. Also, I am not eating vegetables that are grown over the septic tank. (sorry)

don't know about you, but I suspect I'll still be alive in 2031.

13 years from now? As long as I am not sick, I'll take it.

Smart folks are going to start cashing out in order to buy the things they need to survive this.

OR....they will be buying INTO it. Bargain hunters are always out there, DE.

I see your point, of course. We are overspending and ultimately, we will not be able to survive the debt we have. The GDP increase was supposed to take care of our rising debt, but that doesn't seem to be working out, either.

Re: " THIS is a joyful thought... don't scare me."
If you aren't scared it either means you're already at death's door or your head is in the sand. In just TWELVE YEARS the full amount of government tax revenues will go to interest and entitlements. When that happens the nation will be VISIBLY broke.

I don't know about you, but I suspect I'll still be alive in 2031. The question is, how will people be able to survive if the government on which they heavily lean is, essentially, unable to do anything but redistribute taxpayer money to those it owes?

It will, of course, come to a head even sooner than 2031. The markets always anticipate predictable downturns. Smart folks are going to start cashing out in order to buy the things they need to survive this.

See the chart below.
