Trump threatens to close 'Southern Border entirely' if Dems don't fund wall

President Trump on Friday threatened to "close the Southern Border entirely" if Democrats do not agree to provide $5 billion in funding for his border wall.
"We will be forced to close the Southern Border entirely if the Obstructionist Democrats do not give us the money to finish the Wall & also change the ridiculous immigration laws that our Country is saddled with," the president tweeted.
"Hard to believe there was a Congress & President who would approve!"
There has been a partial government shutdown since last week after Trump and Democratic lawmakers could not agree on border funding.
In an Oval Office spat with Democratic leaders earlier this month, Trump said he would be "proud to shut down the government for border security."
The shutdown has left 800,000 federal employees furloughed or forced to work without pay through the holidays.
On Thursday, the Senate adjourned until Monday and the House said they did not expect any votes this week, meaning the shutdown will likely drag on into next week.
