Re: "This is going to sound bad but it is not intended to."

It's just politically incorrect and many have been brainwashed into equating political incorrectness with "bad." The truth, however, needs to be addressed and we are in for a world of hurt when it no longer can be.

The fact is, it is very rare for women to be good at leading men. They have handicaps in that regard that are nearly impossible to overcome: They are weaker. They are smaller. They have higher pitched voices. They are more emotional. They have temperaments that, relative to men, swing wildly over the course of a month with their hormones. Many men will never accept someone with those traits as their leader even though they may pretend that they do.

Now, we can as legitimately view this as being a shortcoming of men as of women, but that doesn't matter. I'm not trying to assign blame, just to state facts. Where capable leadership is concerned, it takes two to tango. A leader is not "good" if either he either lacks the capabilities to lead or the would-be followers lack the willingness to follow.

It's worth noting that most men would make lousy leaders of the general population too. But at least a few exist.
Among women... well... I guess there was Joan of Arc. We have to go back to the early 1400s to find a woman like that, though. I'd say she was a rare one.
