I just added AVG Secure Browser to my system, making it my third (fourth, really, since I have but refrain from using Edge). As shown below, its icon is resemblant of Chrome's - for good reason as it turns out. Both are offshoots of the Chromium open source browser project

Right off the bat, I like it. It looks and feels almost just like Chrome. It supports my Google Chromecast (which, until now, I thought only Chrome would). It seems to be even faster than Chrome. It has AVG security features built right in. And look at all the search engines I'm able to choose from! (Chrome only recognizes Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Ask and AOL.)

Best of all, it isn't owned by Google. I've been using AVG's free antivirus package for many years. I guess I trust the company as much as I trust any company. So why not take one more step AWAY FROM the behemoth Google if I can?

In all fairness, I haven't used AVG's browser much. I don't know if it can support Netflix and Hulu yet, and those are the two main things I do with Google Chrome. But, assuming it's compatible, I'll gradually move to AVG's browser and away from Chrome.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
