My mother's younger sister, and only one alive from the three of them, died this morning of a sudden onset of pneumonia over the past three days. My cousin called me to give me the news.
This Aunt of mine was a special person and adopted me and my siblings when mom passed a few years ago.
So kind and caring for everyone else. Never angry or a cross word. She was a special person and I will miss her dearly as I called her at least twice a month to talk with her.
I am really saddened by this and I will be heading east to attend the funeral with the family as soon as we know arrangements.

P.S. I am pretty sure that she and mom are running around heaven together now like they used to run around when they were young girls. Mom was athletic and so was she. Hope they are having a wonderful time seeing the sights in Heaven...
