I run "Classic Shell."

I have used "Classic Shell” and it makes it look like Win7. But, my wife and daughter think I should “keep up with the times.” I do have one foot firmly planted in the “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” camp, so they may have a point. Time will tell.

Re: "And then I will have to figure out Win10."

I run "Classic Shell." It works really well under Windows 10 but is no longer being maintained so it could break one day. At this point, I don't have any real beefs with Windows 10. The new laptop with Windows 10 behaves just like the old one with Windows 8 except that it isn't glitchy. There are several caveats. First, Windows 10 has a substantial upgrade twice per year and I don't have any say in the matter. Therefore, a future release of Windows 10 could and probably will eventually break my software. Second, it is loaded with Microsoft's spyware. My understanding is that Windows 8 users gradually received nearly all of this spyware anyway so it's not a big change. Third, some of my software is still boxed up in the garage and I'm not sure where it is. Therefore I can't certify that it all works on Windows 10. What I've tried does, though.

A Classic Shell help screen follows. It might help you to find the product. At least you can see what its logo looks like.
