I was the log kicker - took those "rounds" and kicked them down from the woods until I got them where they could be split.
then the log splitter, which I did NOT do.

But I was the stacker. I stacked 2 or 3 cords every winter.

If you end up with a piece that is too long to split, do NOT say, "oh, just throw that big piece on the fire" - because you COULD end up with a chimney fire.
What kind of an eh-hole would do/say such a thing?
