In Mexico the toilets can’t handle toilet paper - it plugs them up. So, they always have a wastebasket next to the toilet.
After having Mexican workers in the house and throwing away a few wastebaskets, we have found that taking the wastebasket out of the bathroom solves the problem.
That sounds good at first blush. But if YOU were a business owner, would you be enthusiastic about bringing a bunch of felons on board? It would depend on the business. I might hire them as piano movers or roofers, with pay dependent upon completion of work. I don't think I'd trust 'em indoors, on my computer, or in any capacity where they might "get away" with something. Reintroducing felons to the workforce is a perpetual problem. Until you get to know them, how can you trust them? If your customers find out, will they continue to be your customers?

On a somewhat related subject, I had an interesting conversation with a drywall repair guy in Charlottesville. He was a business owner doing work for me following a ceiling leak (the wax ring on the upstairs unit's toilet had breached). We started talking about employees and how difficult it is to find ones of any quality. He said that he does not have any Hispanics - because people don't want them in their homes. Why? It's not quite as racist as you might think. Folks don't want them indoors because so many of them can't speak a word of English. Think that through and it makes perfect sense. Who would want a person in their house who can't understand a thing they say? You can't judge their character. You can't ask them questions. You can't give them guidance. You can't answer their questions.

But try to explain this to liberals and they're immediately going to start hollering "racist!" And that brings us back to the problem with today's liberals: They don't think.
