I'm looking at my spreadsheet . . .
And it kind of reminds me of the Y2K melt down.
My 401K is taking a swan dive into the crapper . . .
And my non-401K is up.
My 401K assets are down one percent for the past week.
MadMutt - my mock mutual fund - is up one percent for the week.
Most of my individual stocks went up. Everything except
for the bond fund in the 401K went down. (The bond
fund is unchanged from last week.)
In the year after the Y2K melt down . . . I watched all those high flying
tech stocks drop like rocks . . . While my power companies was climbing
up nicely. I have the distinct feeling that the 'smart money' was bailing
out of the tech stocks and seeking the relative safety of power companies.
Among the companies that went up this past week : D, OGE, PG,
KMB, MKC, CLX, CBRL, CPB, KO and T.
