Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

There's no internet in the condo, but my son is here for a few hours to practice piano and he has a wireless hotspot. While he has it up, I can do some catching up.

`

All is well, except that there's no heat and the temperature inside has been as low as 53°. But there's a space heater, and if I close the bedroom doors, it's able to get the main unit into the mid-60s. 67° is what I find comfortable.

`

I've got an HVAC company coming out Wednesday to look into the problem. Hopefully it's not serious. The home inspector at the time of sale SAID that heating and AC were working. %@#$!. Except for occasional stopovers by my son - who comes here every so often to practice on his piano - the condo has been vacant since it was bought. The furnace shouldn't be dead now if it was okay in April.

`

The AC is probably DOA too. That's what my son told us when he tried it in August. So what did I pay that inspector for??? It's all a racket.
