You could try the following -
smack them in the face
try and run them over with your car
call the police and tell them they were trying to mug you
tell the store manager that they are stealing, something juicy like condoms
wait until a crowd is around, and pinch them in the ass. Then look around to see who did it. Intervene if you must (hey, who pinched this confused lady in the ass?)
and so it goes....
try them
if they don't work
return for further instructions
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
