The referees apparently are BLIND or were PAID by Washington to OVERLOOK the EARLY HIT on the Utah receiver as the UTES were driving toward the end of the game.
The receiver was CLEARLY HIT WAY EARLY before the ball arrived and if you watch the replay several times you will see that.
One of the WORST jobs of officiating in a championship game ever.
Washington should have been penalized and Utah had a first down in easy scoring range.
That game was STOLEN by the officiating crew and HANDED to Washington no question about it.
It is totally understandable why Utah's head coach could not believe the NO CALL and was beside himself. It was obvious and should have been reviewed and then Penalty assessed.
Sorry Nemo. I know you are a huge Huskies fan and likely elated over that outcome. But when looking at the replay several times closely and watching the Defensive back HIT the receiver well before the ball got to the receiver, that was pass interference and should have been called and the games still on.
I believe in winning fairly and rules are rules and penalties should be called when they are obvious or reviewed if it is close. THIS was NOT CLOSE and the refs blew it....
That really kinda sucks too. Because it was not a clean win the way it ended it will now be in question did the Huskies actually win or was it a GIFT from the referees..
That's how I see it and I mean no slander on Washington at all. This is strictly the referees who should not ref another game in my view..
