It should be an easy fix. I had the same thing happen many years ago on a lawnmower. Just had to take off the housing and install a new drawstring.

I was almost done with the snowblower. I had maybe 50 ft.² left to do and it wasn't in an important part of the driveway when the thing ran out of gas.

I added just a third of the tank since it drips gas if it's too full and I wouldn't want to put it away like that. I tried to restart it and… snapped the drawstring off deep inside the blower. @#$!

I think it's an easy fix. I hope so, but I haven't ever tried to fix one before. I can't afford to be without a snow blower.
