I figure we aren't supposed to know and that trying to guess when it will be is at best pointless, at worst a good way to waste a life (as evidenced by some of the more tragic results, below.)
Armageddon might come tomorrow or it might come in 20 billion years. In all probability we won't be the ones bearing witness to it when it happens.
