De

Hoping your Thanks Giving Day turned out well.

I could not have been more blessed or happy. My daughters and their families were home. My wife's sister was here and she is a wonderful person.

We had the following items : Green Beans, Creamy Mashed potatoes, Sweet Potato Soufflé, Home made stuffing that was so moist it was incredible. Mac and Cheese, Hawaiian Rolls, Cranberry Jelly, cold and sliced, Copes Toasted and dried sweet corn, Lime Jello with walnut pieces and marshmallows on top, and of course, a golden brown succulent Turkey.

We had Lemon Meringue Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Southern Pecan Pie, for desserts.....

It was a wonderful and a blessed day.

"Every good and perfect gift comes from God". These gifts today being with my grandkids and my daughters could not have been a better gift for which to be Thankful to the ONE who bestowed these gifts unto my wife and myself.

Best news is that they will be back tomorrow. Something to look forward to....

Thank You Heavenly Father! I have been blessed so much more than I ever dreamed was possible.

micro...

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

I'm not sure why this is called Turkey Day. My wife and I will be having Cornish hens... though I did insist on buying a turkey when we were at the store today.

"But we're having game hens," she objected.

"Are we going to have much in the way of leftovers?" I asked.

"No."

"Okay, then I want a turkey. We can cook it on FRIDAY."

"But I don't like turkey," she still objected.

"We've had turkey every year!" I said.

"And I've never liked it," she insisted.

"Well, you'll like it the way I make it," I countered.

"No, you're ALWAYS the one who makes it," she said.

"You think you can do better? Is that it? Do you want to cook the turkey this time?"

"Never mind," she said. "Buy the stupid turkey."

It'll be great.
